Dominik Schulz

Background

Dominik Schulz completed an apprenticeship as an IT specialist in application development, with a particular focus on data-driven software development. He then earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Clausthal University of Technology and spent a semester abroad at TVZ Zagreb as part of the Erasmus program. This was followed by an interdisciplinary master’s program in Digital Technologies, which he completed at Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences and Clausthal University of Technology. The program was particularly characterized by project-oriented work, with one-third of each semester dedicated to a specific innovation project.

Even during his studies, Dominik worked as a student assistant at a department at Clausthal University of Technology, where he actively contributed to the development of augmented reality applications and assisted with lectures. After completing his master’s degree, he continued his academic career as a research assistant. In this role, he is involved in various aspects of university work—including teaching, supervising theses, and authoring academic publications.

In addition to his work at the university, Dominik Schulz works as a developer at a startup. He combines his deep technical expertise with a keen interest in the social, ethical, and design implications of technological developments—particularly in the context of digital applications and innovative interfaces.
